Kristine Lipton is a young doctor who arrives at a new hospital and discovers widespread corruption and cover-ups. The doctors are conducting grisly experiments on old, indigent patients. The plot is at once terrifying and ludicrous; it would seem impossible that such a hospital could remain open for long, even if the chief of staff is played by Trapper John, M.D., himself, Pernell Roberts. Gilbert walks through the movie with a stiff haughtiness, but there are moments when Donor is unsettling.
